Women’s bodies are beautifully complex and move through constant change - no two journeys are the same. Hormonal health is shaped not only by biology, but by the many transitions and experiences that make up a woman’s life. Whether you are menstruating regularly, navigating fertility decisions, living without periods, moving through perimenopause or menopause, or simply noticing that something feels out of balance, I will meet you where you are.
From the first menstrual cycle through to later life, hormones influence physical health, emotional wellbeing, energy and the feeling of resilience. When this delicate balance is disrupted, symptoms can build quietly, often leaving women feeling unheard or unsure of where to turn.
Acupuncture offers a gentle, individualised way to support women’s health at every stage. Rather than suppressing symptoms, it works to restore balance within the body in place of or alongside Western Medicine - supporting hormonal regulation, easing discomfort, and creating space for the body to return to its natural rhythm.
What you might be experiencing
Irregular, painful or absent periods
PMS or PMDD, including mood changes and physical discomfort
Hormonal imbalance affecting energy, sleep or mood
Conditions such as PCOS or endometriosis
Cycle-related pain, bloating or fatigue
Perimenopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety or sleep disruption
Menopausal changes affecting mood, energy or wellbeing
How Acupuncture May Help
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), women’s health is closely linked to the balance of Blood, Qi, and the Kidney, Liver and Spleen channels.
Acupuncture works gently to regulate the menstrual cycle, support ovulation, ease pain and inflammation, and calm the nervous system.
Modern research also supports acupuncture’s role in managing hormonal symptoms, particularly around menstrual health and the menopause, making it a valuable and supportive complement to Western Medicine. As a special area of interest, I have done further training in Women's Health under the guidance of renowned and experienced acupuncturists Paul Johnson and Hannah Pearn.
What a Treatment Plan Looks Like
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment is a detailed health consultation where we explore your medical history, menstrual cycle, lifestyle goals and concerns. This allows me to understand your unique situation and create a plan tailored specifically to you.
A Personalised Treatment Plan
FFollow-up sessions usually take place weekly or fortnightly, with treatments designed to support healthy hormone function, regulate cycles, reduce symptoms and enhance overall wellbeing.
We will always have a chat at the start to understand where you are at that week.
A Trusted Professional Network
Hormonal issues can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I also work with a trusted network of women’s health professionals I can consult when needed, ensuring you receive well-rounded, collaborative support throughout your journey.
Integrating Western Insights
With knowledge of Western medicine and hormonal testing, I can help you interpret results, identify underlying patterns, and suggest when specialist referrals may be appropriate.
Ongoing GUIDANCE
Drawing on the principles of yang sheng “the nourishment of life”, I provide lifestyle, diet, and stress-management advice to support your hormonal health. Practical guidance helps you feel empowered, balanced and more connected to your body.

From My Perspective
Women’s health has long been an area where symptoms are underdiagnosed, misdiagnosed, normalised or overlooked. I am absolutely passionate by the topic as I regularly see the relief that comes when women feel truly listened to and supported. Acupuncture allows us to work gently but deeply, addressing both physical symptoms and the emotional experience that often accompanies hormonal change.
My aim is always to create a calm, respectful space where your body’s signals are taken seriously and care is tailored to you as an individual.

As symptoms begin to settle, appointments may move to every 3 to 4 weeks for maintenance and long-term balance.
